Wanslea is a quality four star guest house conveniently situated five minutes walk from Lake Windermere at Waterhead and less than ten minutes walk from the village centre of Ambleside, the well visited Hayes Garden World, a gardeners delight is on our doorstep.

All our guest rooms are en-suite and some are themed with spa baths. Due to requests by regular guests we now also have a four poster room with en-suite double size shower. Free view digital TV, Radio C/D, Hair-dryer and tea/coffee making facilities are in all rooms.

Help and advice is always available, whether it is a quiet cruise on the lake, a strenuous walk on the the local fells or anything in between. Easy walks start at our back door and more demanding ones begin just half a mile away Wansfell and Wansfell pike for example.

The homes of the Lake Poets and Beatrix Potter are all within easy reach with Dove Cottage and Rydal Mount a mere 5 minute drive from Wanslea Guest House, Wanslea is very central being in Ambleside, Grasmere, Keswick and Coniston are all easily accessible using public transport or your own vehicle..
