The Coppice originally a vicarage with nice tall airy rooms, a real fire in the lounge most days (except summer), with deep settees to sit in and toast your toes or have your order taken for dinner as you sip your drink. 9 en-suite bedrooms all individually designed with pocket sprung beds, DVD TVs, Tea/Coffee trays, Mini Decanter of Sherry and lots of little extras
Breakfast and Dinner are always freshly cooked to order and all local ingredients are used when possible. We have a good choice of Wines & Beers We are Totally NON Smoking through out. Our car park has one space for each room. WiFi through the whole building, Dogs welcome in some rooms. Romantic Breaks & small Weddings.
We are located in a slightly elevated position back from the road on the corner of New road and Brook road about 4 minutes walk from the village of Windermere and 14 minutes Walk to Bowness by Lake Windermere on the road that runs between both villages. To find us from the M6, Junction 36 then A590/591 all the way to Windermere, then turn left into the village past the Windermere TIC and come through the village and follow the road towards Bowness, we are on the Left and visible as you drive down the road.
We have a host of Things to see and do. Windermere Lake Cruises, lake trips or Jazz and BBQ evening cruises, The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, across the Lake on the ferry to Beatrix Potters house Hill Top Go Ape in Grisedale forest, Wild Animal Park Ulverston, National Trust site at Fell Foot, Gleaston Water Mill, ulverston. Wordsworths house at Rydal Mount and Dove Cottage.
