Rockside Bed and Breakfast is a quality 4* Guesthouse. It was built in 1848 using traditional Lakeland Stone, Rockside B&B has been fully modernised to provide high quality accommodation, but still retains many of its original features including its sash windows and stone floors. It also has the benefit of its own car park.

We have a variety of rooms to choose from. Ranging from a Standard Double Room, to our 2 suites each with King Size Beds and separate lounge areas. All rooms are equipped with your modern day comforts to include tv’s (some with dvd’s) and tea making facilities.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and at Rockside we ensure everyone gets a good start to the day. We have a range of options for everyone from our substantial full breakfast to lighter bites. And with everything served with our award winning homemade marmalade and jams it can not be missed.

Our location is perfect. Situated at the head to Windermere Village only 2 minutes walk from the Windermere train and bus station. Windermere’s shops and restaurants are right on your doorstep, with Bowness and Lake Windermere a short 20 minute walk away.

Many walks commence right from our front door the most famous being Orrest Head.
