Nethermost Pike

Nethermost Pike, which has an elevation of 891 metres, is a fell that forms part of the Eastern fells and lies between Thirlmere in the west and the Ullswater catchment in the east. Glenridding and Patterdale, which are approximately 8 kilometres away, are the nearest villages.

This fell is the second highest Wainwright in the Helvellyn range, with Helvellyn itself been the tallest. Nethermost Pike is situated near to the southern end of the ridge, with Helvellyn to the north and High Crag and Dollywagon Pike to the south.

The view from the summit, which is actually towards the northern corner and which is set back a little from the drop to Nethermost Cove, is spectacular and extensive with a large amount of The Lakes visible. This has been marked by several small cairns.
