Meadfoot Guest House Windermere

A Lake District accommodation listing

Sandra and Tim Shaw welcome you to Meadfoot Guesthouse, where we offer a relaxed and informal bed and breakfast experience.

Meadfoot is a detached house in large gardens with a profusion of mature trees. It is ideally situated on the main road between Windermere and Bowness on Windermere but close to Windermere Village. (The walk to Windermere takes about 2 minutes and the walk to Bowness and Lake Windermere is about 15 minutes).

Meadfoot has ample private parking and guests are welcome to enjoy the gardens, which include extensive patio areas, a summerhouse and outdoor seating.

Whilst staying at Meadfoot, guests are offered complimentary use of Parklands Country Club with its many facilities, just 5 minutes drive away in Bowness.

The beautiful breakfast room has a unique situation with floor to ceiling windows facing the garden giving an elevated view of the lawns and mature trees. Breakfast is often referred to in our guest book with comments such as “excellent” and “wonderful”.

All the guest bedrooms are en-suite and are beautifully decorated and furnished with exceptionally comfortable beds. The views from all the bedrooms are of the garden, not the car park or the road.
