Under new ownership and as seen in the South Lakes Citizen and Bury Times and on the channel 4 television show PLACE IN THE SUN HOME OR AWAY early Spring 2009. Paula and Graham Smith welcome you to their beautiful Victorian Guest House built in the mid 1880’s by and for Windermere Railway. The Windermere train station is just a 2 minute walk from Lingmoor Guesthouse.

Ideally positioned for exploring the Lakeland area, we are situated conveniently at the quieter end of Windermere within close proximity of a variety of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants and a 20 minute walk from Bowness and the Lake. We offer a high standard of hospitality and comfort, creating an informal, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We aim to provide first class accommodation, a hearty, locally sourced breakfast and quality service.

The house is warm and tastefully decorated, we have 5 en-suite rooms and 1 with its own private facilities. All rooms have television’s with either built in video/dvd are wif fi enabled and have complimentary tea and coffee making facilities.

We have a well stocked bookcase and being keen walkers ourselves a wide selection of laminated walks which we are happy to print out for you. We also offer packed lunches should you want to explore the area on foot/take to the hills with one of our walks.

Special occasion packages are available on request (min 2 days notice required).
