Haven Cottage B&B in Ambleside offers traditional hospitality starting with homemade cakes and tea on arrival.

Tim & Claire use local produce where ever possible. We have wifi in all rooms. Originally built in 1860 Haven Cottage retains it charm yet offers upto date facilities. Plenty of car parking off road.

We offer homemade cakes and tea on arrival. We make our own bread and have local ladies making cakes, jams and marmalade for us. We buy local produce wherever possible and several of our suppliers are award winners. We make our vegetarian sausages. Don’t forget “Puzzles at breakfast time”

Haven Cottage is just along Rydal Road on the edge of Ambleside village. All shops, pubs and restaurants are within easy walking distance. The top of Lake Windermere is about 17 mins walk. Many walks are straight from our front door. To find us, leave Ambleside towards Keswick/Grasmere on A591. Mini roundabout, car park, Fire Station, Police Station then about 200yds on left. Opposite bollards in road.

What’s near Haven Cottage B & B, The Armitt Museum 250 yds away. University of Cumbria just across the road for courses. We look out towards Loughrigg which offers a variety of walks. Bus Stop is immediatley outside our gate.
