Muncaster Castle’s Coachman’s Quarters 4 star guest accommodation in the heart of the 70 acres of gardens has 10 rooms suitable for couples, families or large groups. The tariff includes admission to the gardens and owl centre and reduced entry into the Castle and a reduction on the Ravenglass and Eskdale narrow gauge steam railway.

One room has facilities for people with disabilities and the Annexe on the ground floor is pet friendly. The Granary is a large bedroom with lounge area and kitchenette and can sleep up to 6 people. There is a spacious kitchen and dining room and comfortable lounge meaning self catering bookings are very welcome.

We are located in the Western Lake District on the A595 1 mile south of the village of Ravenglass. One and a quarter hours drive from the M6 – if travelling from the south leave at J36, if travelling from the North leave at J40. There is a main line train station at Ravenglass.

Attractions near to us include the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway (discount tickets included in the room tariff) “Englands Best View” at Wasdale is a 20 minute drive. There is a golf course within 1/2 mile, plus horse riding, beaches, nature reserves and many walks right on the door step.
