From the top of Brantfell you can see Windermere with the main A590 from Kendal which takes the visitor past Staveley and through Ings village before dropping down into the village of Windermere. On a clear day the Irish Sea can be seen with Grange-over-Sands on its coastline.

Brant Fell is approximatley 630 feet, about 190 meters high, it’s one of the smaller mountains and fells in the lakes but is fairly steep to walk up, there are numrous routes on and around Brantfell which are clearly signposted, stiles and farmland are crossed during the walks. At the top of Brant Fell are 2 white gate posts built into the mountains rock, an ideal spot for a picnic or break after your climb up to take in the surround panoramic views of the South Lakes.
