The Lakes

The English Lake District.

The Lake District is located in Cumbria on the Western side of England, an area of natural beauty, well known for its Lakes, Waters and Tarns, the Lake District is also known as Lakeland or The Lakes.

The Lake District also has some very Famous People from Beatrix Potter to William Wordsworth who are known worldwide for their roles in Lakeland history. The area is split into Northern, Eastern, Western and Southern Lakes, all are very popular tourist destinations almost all year round.

Tourist Information Centres can be found in most of the main villages throughout the Lake District, each are usually able to find accommodation at short notice should you decide to stay over night and didn’t book anywhere prior to arriving, they are able to contact owners in the area or village after checking their database of availability.
