Northern Lakes

Keswick is the main tourist destination for the Northern Lakes, an area covering almost half of the Lake District National Park in Cumbria. The carved out landscape of the Northern Lake District offers stunning scenery, with high mountainous peaks and flowing valley floors, carved millions of years ago by glaciers heading South.

The Northern Lake District also has some excellent forests such as Whinlatter Forest which provide great outdoor entertainment for families.
