Wansfell & Wansfell Pike
Wansfell, which is a small popular fell in the Lakes in Cumbria, is located approximately two and a half kilometres east of the town of Ambleside. This fell forms part of the long southern ridge of Caudale Moor, which surrounds the area between Ambleside and the Troutbeck valley.

Wansfell has a large summit ridge with two peaks. The highest peak is called Baystones with a height of 488 metres, however, Wansfell Pike which lies a kilometre to the south west with a height of 482 metres is considered to be the true peak of the fell by fell walkers because of it's superior views.
From the top of Wansfell Pike, Windermere village is visible to the south. Wansfell is on the route of the Windermere Way, which is a long distance walk around Lake Windermere.
