The Melrose has 8 rooms of varying sizes and hence can accommodate most group permutations. Costs include a sumptuous full English breakfast, or vegetarian option if preferred and the use of passes for the Low Wood lesiure complex during your stay. Secure area available for cycle storage. Ideally located in the heart of Ambleside - perfect for public transport and a perfect base from which to explore the nearby fells and fine restaurants. Many cycle rides and walks can be started directly from the doorstep.
We are centrally located in Ambleside, which boasts a fantastic array of fine restaurants, all within a 5 minute walk away. Lake Windermere is a 10 minute walk away. Here you can take the Lake steamboats or get involved in water sports of varying types. Stock Ghyll waterfalls are a must to view as too Loughrigg and Wansfell fells.
