Lindy and Harry Jarvis welcome you to our 'get away from it all' Cottage situated near the head of the beautiful and unspoilt valley of Longsleddale. Your stay will be unique and exclusive. Stockdale Cottage is surrounded by the fells with stunning views and has a wealth of wildlife on the doorstep.
We offer you total exclusivity in our luxury bed and breakfast. Your double room with en-suite shower room is tastefully decorated in neutral colurs so you can not fail to relax and unwind. In addition to this you have your own lounge with private entrance making your stay truly unique, you can come and go as you please. We offer many little extras including home cooked dinners and packed lunches. We care about local producers and use local products and home grown fruit and vegetables where possible.
We are located in the valley of Longsleddale. The Cottage is 10 miles from Kendal, our nearest town. From Kendal follow the A6 for 4 miles until you see the sign for Longsleddale, turn left down the valley and travel for 6 miles up the valley road, this is single track. Turn right at the sign for Stockdale Cottage B & B, follow the lane for around 200 metres and we are situated on the right just passed a barn. Parking is available outside the cottage.
There are fantasitc opportunities for walking direct from our door, including the 'Longlseddale Round' which takes in the peaks of Grey Crag, Tarn Crag, Harter Fell, Kentmere Pike and Shipman Knots. Kendal is just 20 minutes away with many attractions including Sizergh Castle, The Brewery Arts Centre, Quaker Tapestry and Abbot Hall Art Gallery. Lake Windermere and many other South Lakes attractions are just a short drive away.
