Squirrel Bank Self Catering Cottage is 4 Star rated is set in Bowness on Windermere and offers guests beautifully decorated accommodation. It is set in woodland with the village of Bowness just under a mile away, Lake Windermere and the Windermere Marina even nearer. The Cottage has recently been redesigned, is on one floor and sleeps 2 people.

The Cottage is on one level and comprises of lounge, kitchen, bedroom and fully tiled shower room. The kitchen has cream and pine Shaker style units with electric cooker with double oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and toaster and much more.

The lounge is alongside the kitchen and has a comfortable sofa bed for mixed couples who need a separate bed . There is a TV, DVD, CD players with a few films for your use. The dining area has a pine table and chairs.

The bedroom is off the hall and has a double bed with Stag mahogany furniture. There is also a TV in this room. The shower room is also off the hall and is fully tiled.

All bed linen, towels, gas central heating and all utilities are included in the price including an electric simulated log burning stove. Squirrel Bank Cottage has a separate car parking space alongside and guests can enjoy their own private garden with garden furniture and barbecue if requested.

The owners live adjacent to the property and will be happy to give you guidance and help on every aspect of your holiday, including touring, walking and eating out to name but a few.

Our knowledge of the Lake District is extensive and we can advise on fell walking, touring or just browsing this beautiful corner of England. There are numerous activities for all the ages. Visit Beatrix Potters museum, Aquarium of the Lakes or Blackwell Arts and Crafts House. Why not take a cruise along or across wonderful Lake Windermere and walk on the breathtaking fells, with spectacular views, or for the more adventurous take up water sport at the Adventure Water Sport Centre. Windermere and Bowness also has many little unique alley ways with shops for you to browse at your leisure.

Windermere golf course is close by and is one of the most beautiful yet challenging courses in England. We offer our guests a complimentary 10% reduction on green fees if booked in advance.
