Mountains Passes

The Lake District has many Mountain Passes which are all accessible by vehicle, be warned as most have steep parts with 25% (1 in 4) gradients, Lake District mountain passes have seen plenty of accidents over the years, mostly resulting from brake failure. These passes were mostly created by the Romans or within that time frame as routes or short cuts to other settlements.
