Lakeland Yurt Company is a unique, alternative way of camping and experiencing the Lakes. The yurts are made from woodland source and hand pick ourselves from woodland which we work ourselves. We believe in keeping GREEN so we try our hardest to be a Low Carbon Emissions Company, and keeping sustainable in any way we can.
We offer a Greener way to camp, our yurts are made from all sustainable materials. Our yurts are between 18 and 19 foot, amazing amounts of headroom, they are cosy, completely weather proof, and wood burners can be supplied if you think your going to be a bit chilly! Hikers can get the yurts pitched on any campsite along their journey, so they don't have to take all their camping equipment along with them on their trips up the fells, they can then arrive at their desired campsite in the evening and settle into a ready made camp. We aim to offer a more nomadic holiday experience in the stunning setting of the Lake District.
Our yurts can be set up on any Campsite in the South Lakes area, if you want any other campsite in Cumbria for your pitch there might be an additional mileage charge depending on your holiday needs.
As you can stay at any campsite in the South Lakes, you are near plenty of the Lake Districts major attractions such as; Lake Windermere, Aquarium of the Lakes, Grizedale Forest, Coniston Water.
