Details

The Lakeland Motor Museum, which is in Cark-in-Cartmel, Grange over Sands, started in 1977/78. Here you will find over 30 000 motoring related exhibits. It even has Campbell's Bluebird, although this one is a replica, made for a BBC television play. Also, here you will find an East German Trabant, which was driven over when "The Wall" came down. The Lakeland Motor Museum has over 80 historic vehicles ranging from cars, motorbikes, cycles, engines as well as many motoring bits and pieces. They have Princess Margaret's scooter, toy cars, illuminated petrol pump sings and a walk around 1920's garage.
