Keswick Launch Company

Keswick Launch Company, or Derwentwater Lake Cruises as it is better known, is situated on the lakeshore of Derwentwater near to the market town of Keswick in Cumbria. They offer cruises around the lake Derwent Water which stops at several lakeshore jetties, these are:

Ashness Gate, Lodore, High Brandlehow, Low Brandlehow, Hawes End, Nichol End

Alternatively, you can stay onboard for a fifty minute round trip around Derwentwater. Derwentwater has four islands of which only Derwent Island is inhabited. From mid March to mid November their boats depart every ten minutes from 10am to 7pm.

Please note, however, that their route alternates between clockwise and anti-clockwise around the lake. The ferry only operates five to six times daily during the winter months. An explorer ticket allows you to hop on and off the boats at the various lakeshore jetties. They also offer self drive motor boats and rowing boats.
