Ivythwaite Lodge Guest House in Windermere, full of character and charm we are a four star family run guest house situated close to the hub of village life with it's bars restaurants shops and leisure facilities we offer our guests very comfortable accommodation from which to explore the English Lake District.

All our rooms overlook gardens, are spacious tastefully furnished with king size Four poster Beds available, Super king and twin, all rooms offer full en-suite facilities with the luxury of double size spa baths and power showers. Hairdryers, flatscreen TVs, DVD players access to WIFI, complimentry refreshment trays.

We offer a comprehensive breakfast buffet, including fresh fruit salads, yogurts, selection of cereals and continental pastries. A tasty hot food menu also available to choose from all ingredients sourced locally when ever possible. Because you are on holiday we serve breakfast at the leisurly hour of 8.00am to 9.30am We are located within easy walking distance for both resort villages of Bowness and Windermere and being situated just outside the villages means we can also offer our guests peace and quiet. Private car park available Bike storage. Free use of local leisure facilities available for all our guest including swimming pool and Gym.

Ivythwaite Lodge is situated between both resort villages of Windermere and Bowness both are a short ten minute stroll away, three minutes by car. The Windermere train station is a short taxi ride. Public transport is exceptional we have easy access to Lake Windermere and a good starting point from which to explore the rest of the Lake District.

Lake Windermere hosts a variety of events and activities throughout the year including its July air show, Sailing and a variety of cruises to choose from. Famous for its walking the fells offer magnificent scenery and great days out exploring. Bowness has a cinema, Old Laundry a theatre, Beatrix potter museum and some unsual shops with a really Good selection of restaurants and Bars. Tours of Lakes available from the local mountaingoat buses. Visit tourist board by the jetties in Bowness for all local information.
