Hawkshead

Located in the vale of Esthwaite and to the north of Esthwaite Water, is said to be the quaintest and prettiest village in the Lake District with it's cobbled squares and old timber framed holiday Cottages. Hawkshead was apparently an important centre for the wool trade.
