Situated in a quiet side road, a 2 minute walk will take you into the hub of the village of Windermere with shops and excellent restaurants. Lake Windermere and Bowness are within a 25 minute walk as is Orrest Head – considered to one of the most perfect viewpoints that the Lake District can offer. Within easy commute either by car or public transport are Ambleside, Lakeside, Newby Bridge, Near Sawrey, Hawkshead, Grasmere and many more all with their own history to explore.

A warm friendly welcome awaits our guests who can expect first class accommodation in quality rooms with excellent breakfasts from locally sourced produce. We have a combination of tastefully decorated double rooms, single room and family room, or for those special occasions a Four-Poster room or a De-Luxe room with jet bath for two. All our rooms are en-suite and centrally heated with controllable radiators. Bedrooms are equipped with freeview flat screen DVD/TV’s, clock radios and hairdryers. Fairtrade complimentary tea and coffee making facilities are provided.

There are private parking spaces at the rear of the house and complimentary use of the Parklands Country Club is offered to all guests during their stay. We aim to cater for individual requests both dietary or for those extra special celebrations.

We can offer advice and details on the many tourist sites with books and ordnance survey maps for walkers of all levels. The list of things to do is endless from relaxing cruises on the 4 larger lakes to conquering the rugged mountain peaks or visiting the Stately homes and National Trust properties.
