Grasmoor
Grasmoor, which is a mountain in the north western part of the lakes near Keswick, has an elevation of approximately 852 metres.
|
Grasmoor, which overlooks Crummock Water, is the highest peak in a group of hills between the villages of Braithwaite, Lorton and Buttermere.
It's steep western flank drops dramatically to Crummock Water, however, this face is not suitable for rock climbers as it consists mainly of scree.
One of the easiest ascents up this mountain is from Coledale Hause, however, it can also be reached from Rannerdale along the way of the Lads How ridge.
