Ennerdale
Ennerdale, which was a rural district from 1934 to 1974, was in the county of Cumberland in England. This district was created in 1934 by a County Review Order which merged the urban districts of Cleator Moor, Egremont, Arlecdon and Frizington as well as Harrington together with part of the Bootle Rural District and most of the Whitehaven Rural District.

This district was named after Ennerdale Water and survived until 1974, when under the Local Government Act 1972 it was merged with other districts to form the Copeland District in Cumbria. However, the neighbouring county of Westmorland, which was a similar type of area but contained less towns and villages, was created at the same time as an urban district called the Lake District.
