Braithwaite
Braithwaite, which is a village to the west of Keswick and to the east of Grisedale Pike ridge in The Lakes, sits on both sides of the Coledale Beck and lies at the foot of Whinlatter Pass. Coledale Beck is a stream that joins Newlands Beck, which comes from the Newlands Valley, after it passes through the village and which then flows north to Bassenthwaite Lake.

The village of Braithwaite, which is easily accessible due to it's close proximity to the A66 as well as being at the start of both the Whinlatter Pass and Newlands Pass, makes an ideal central base to explore the rest of the Lake District. Whinlatter Forest, which is located to the north of Whinlatter Pass, has many activities and walks for the whole family.
This village, which has several pubs, a wide variety of accommodation establishments and a wide range of sporting activities on offer, is situated next to Barrow Fell, which is a small mountain in the Newlands region.
