Brackenrigg Holiday Cottages located in 5 acres of private beautiful gardens has four cottages each individually appointed to a luxury 4* standard. Three cottages converted from 18thC traditional bank barn retaining many original features - open stonework, beams, etc. Two open plan cottages for two people each, one spacious cottage for 4-6. One large contemporary designed 4-bedroomed house for 8. Book individually or together.
All our cottages are beautifully and individually furnished and well equipped to a luxury standard. Bed linen and towels are provided in the price, as is heating & electricity. In the winter months a free basket of logs is included for the wood burning stove in High Rigg. Childrens toy boxes, high chair and cot available, including outdoor toys for the ball play paddock. All cottages have TV with sky, dvd, High Rigg also has wifi. All kitchens fully equipped. Free laundry facilities and drying rooms. Secure bike store.
Brackenrigg Holiday Cottages are located in the very heart of the Lake District just 2.5 miles south of Keswick and 15 mins from Grasmere. Magnificent views of the Helvellyn range and Blencathra. Wonderful wallking straight from the door. Derwent water within 5 mins drive, Thirlmere Lake a walk away. 5 acres of beautiful gardens, woodland and meadow. Children's ball play paddock. Red Squirrels visit daily, abundant wild life including badgers, foxes, occassional deer, buzzards, kestrels and many song birds.
Superb walking from the door. The 5000 year old Castlerigg Stone Circle is 1.5 miles away. Keswick with Derwent Water foreshore within 5 mins with sailing, boating, canoeing all available. Keswick has a good range of shops, restaurants and attractions for those rainy days. Theatre by the Lake is 5 mins drive. Historic Grasmere just a short 15mins drive over Dunmail Raise.
