Borrans Park

Borrans Park is situated at the Northern end of Lake Windermere, it is an ideal place to relax while on holiday in Ambleside there's lake access for paddling with the children and it's a gated area so is safe to let the kids run around.

The nearest car park is at Waterhead if you are on holiday without a car Waterhead can be easily reached either by bus or by boat from Bowness on Windermere or Lakeside.

In the field next to Borrans Park is the remains of the Roman settlement Galava well worth a visit if you enjoy that type of history.
