Belsfield House Guest House Bowness on Windermere

Situated just a few minutes away from the shores of Lake Windermere, this guest house is a charming bed and breakfast holiday base for your stay in the Lake District.

The accommodation is spread over four levels, giving some rooms an enviable view of the Lake. Each of the very comfortable bedrooms are en-suite, some larger rooms are classed as family rooms. Private parking is available at the back of the guest house.

You are assured of our personal attention at all times as we are run as a family concern and care about the comfort of all our guests. We are told that we offer good value for money plus a warm and friendly atmosphere. So many of our guests return time and time again that it must be right.

There is a separate dining room and a comfortable residents’ lounge where you are always welcome. Our breakfast is a full English but we are also able to cater for light diets if necessary. We also offer a ground level room for those who prefer not to climb stairs.

An added bonus to your stay with us is that you will have free access to Parklands Leisure club which is just a couple of minutes walk away.

We are ideally positioned for all activities, walking on the fells, or strolling and shopping in Bowness or Windermere or even further afield. With the Lake being so close, cruises are an added attraction, as is the Lake front for a very pleasant walk to admire the extensive views.

Kendal, with more specialist shops, is but a few miles away, accessible by public transport or of course your own car.

We are often visited by people who have just completed, or are walking; The Dalesway because we are conveniently close.

One of the main local attractions is the Beatrix Potter Museum where you can learn all about Peter Rabbit and friends, again just a few minutes walk away. A great favourite with a number of our guests.

Because Bowness on Windermere is so central to the Southern Lakes, the opportunity to visit more of Cumbria shouldn’t be missed. So much to see and do – visit us soon for a warm welcome and comfortable stay.
